What is dim to warm LED lighting?

Dim to warm LED lighting has a dual function. With these lights, you can dim the brightness which means you reduce the brightness. But at the same time as dimming, the color temperature (expressed in Kelvin) of the lighting also changes. Dimming causes the light to get warmer and warmer, thus lowering the Kelvin value.

Dim to warm lighting and Kelvin

Dim to warm lighting allows you to change color temperature in addition to brightness. This color temperature is expressed in Kelvin. Kelvin is represented in a value: the lower the value, the warmer the color of the light (red). On average, this is all lighting up to 3000 K. For all lighting higher than 3000 K, the color temperature becomes colder.

How does dim to warm work?

Dim to warm lighting works very simply: you dim the lighting to your liking and automatically, without having to do anything, the color temperature goes with it. This creates atmosphere in the room. The dimming is stepless. This ensures that the lighting changes gradually rather than in stages. Because this is gradual, the dimming looks nice.
